G-S Custom Watch Crystals & Specialty Windows
 Custom-designed
mineral glass, sapphire, and plastic watch crystals and windows are available
in all shapes and sizes.
 To
draw and manufacture a custom product, G-S must determine the exact measurements
and specifications required. This information can be determined from a
damaged watch crystal or clock window, or from a sketch with exact measurements
in millimeters of all critical dimensions, taken by a professional watchmaker
or engineer.
Our
in-house optical designer is available to provide engineering and custom
design services for both small and large quantities of watch and clock
crystals, and specialty windows..
There
are five manufacturing options:
- Mineral Glass
- Sapphire (Minimum order: 20 pieces)
- Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) cutting of optical quality plastic
sheet material
- Vacuum forming of optical quality plastic sheet material
- Injection Molding of optical quality plastic
Engineering
and design, tooling, setup, and production are quoted, when appropriate,
for each custom job.
Lead
time for an engineering drawing is usually 1-2 weeks. Tooling lead time
can range from 1-6 weeks, depending on the type of tool. Production lead
time generally ranges from 2-8 weeks.
Production
volumes for most of the options above can range from one to thousands.
